Introduction:

Welcome to Vérité Integral Learning Center, a unit under the Hospitality Trust of the Auroville Foundation.

Vérité offers accommodations for individuals and groups, health-promoting food options, and a variety of enriching programs, learning opportunities and wellness activities, all nestled on a 9-acre, reafforested campus within the visionary international township of Auroville, Tamil Nadu, India.

Inspired by the Integral Yoga of Sri Aurobindo and the Mother, and with a deep awareness of the planet's ecological challenges and a belief in humanity’s potential to create a future of truth, beauty, and harmony, Vérité was founded in 1985 as a collective experiment in what it means to live, learn, work, and grow integrally.

Over the decades, Vérité has continued to evolve as an environment that promotes regeneration, inspiration and positive action, and allows individuals and groups who want to live consciously to learn, grow, and connect meaningfully.

Please read our Terms & Conditions, which govern the use of all Vérité’s services. By using any of our services, you acknowledge that you agree to these Terms & Conditions, which form a legally binding contract between you ("the Client") and Vérité Integral Learning Center (“Vérité” or “the Center”).

Your cooperation helps us maintain the harmony, integrity, and vibrant spirit that Vérité is known for.

1.   Guest Accommodations & Group Bookings:

Vérité Integral Learning Center is a unit under Hospitality Trust, Auroville Foundation, located in Auroville, Tamil Nadu, India. By making a reservation, booking a stay, or using our services, you hereby acknowledge and agree to the following terms and conditions. These terms are legally binding and constitute a contract between you (the "Guest") and Vérité Integral Learning Center (the "Center"). 

1.1 Pricing

·        All prices are quoted in Indian Rupees (INR) and are subject to change without notice.

·        The final price for your booking will be confirmed at the time of booking and is inclusive of all applicable taxes unless explicitly stated otherwise.

·        Additional services or amenities (e.g., room upgrades, meals, bicycle) will be charged separately, unless otherwise specified in Group Booking MOU.

1.2              Booking and Payment

·        Group Bookings:  

§  Group booking packages are customized for each group but typically include use of program facilities, bicycles, laundry service, and administrative support.

§  Group booking deposit and cancellation policies

·        Individual Reservations: A 50% deposit is required for bookings of 7 days or longer, and full payment is required at the time of booking for shorter stays. Payments can be made via QR code, credit/debit cards, bank transfer (including Wise, Revolut), or other approved payment methods.

·        Booking Confirmation: A booking is not considered confirmed until the Client receives written confirmation that the deposit/payment has been received.

·        Group Booking Confirmation: A group booking is not considered confirmed until the booking deposit has been received and the MOU signed by the Group Coordinator.

·        Payment: Full payment for your stay is due upon check-in.

·        Currency: All payments will be processed in Indian Rupees (INR).

1.3              Cancellation / Refund Policy

·        No Refund Policy: All payments are final. We do not offer refunds for cancellations, no-shows, or early departures.

·        Modifications: Requests to modify your reservation (e.g., date changes, room upgrades) will be subject to availability and may incur additional charges. Any changes made within 7 days of your check-in date may be subject to a fee.

·        Special Circumstances: In exceptional cases (e.g., natural disasters, government restrictions), we may consider rebooking your stay or offering a partial refund at our sole discretion. Documentation may be required to substantiate such claims.

·        Refund Method: In the event that a refund is deemed necessary (e.g., in cases of special circumstances, rebooking, or exceptions as stated in the terms), refunds will be processed only to the original payer’s bank account via bank transfer. Refunds will not be made to any third-party account.

·        Payment Disputes: You must notify us of any payment disputes within 3 days of the charge to allow for timely resolution. Failure to do so may forfeit your right to contest the charge.

1.4              Credit Card Information and Data Protection

·        Credit Card Authorization: By providing your credit card information, you authorize Vérité Integral Learning Center, a unit under Hospitality Trust, Auroville Foundation, to charge the agreed-upon amount for your booking.

·        Security of Credit Card Information: We take all reasonable measures to protect your payment information. All credit card information is encrypted and processed via a secure payment gateway. We do not store credit card details on our systems, only the authorization of payments or deposits.

·        Privacy and Data Use: Your personal data will be used solely for the purpose of processing your reservation and enhancing your experience. We do not share your personal information with third parties, except as required by law or necessary for payment processing.

·        Fraud Prevention: We reserve the right to request additional verification (e.g., photo ID, cardholder’s authorization) to prevent fraudulent transactions. 

1.5              Guest Conduct and Behavior

·        Respectful and Peaceful Behavior: All guests are expected to maintain respectful, peaceful, and harmonious behavior during their stay at Vérité Integral Learning Center.

·        Prohibited Activities:

1.5.1        Alcohol, Smoking, Drugs: Smoking and alcohol consumption, and use of any illegal drugs are strictly prohibited on the premises.

1.5.2       Quiet Hours: Guests are required to respect quiet hours from 9:00 PM until 6:00 AM. Devices should be in silent mode and headphones used.

1.5.3       Food: Bringing in meals from outside is not allowed on the premises. We provide vegetarian meals that support a healthy and sustainable lifestyle, in alignment with our values.

·        Right to Terminate Stay: Vérité Integral Learning Center reserves the right to immediately terminate the stay of any guest, without refund, if their behavior is disruptive, illegal, unsafe, or damaging to the property or to the peaceful environment of the Center. This includes, but is not limited to, behavior that violates the non-smoking, non-drinking, food policies, or involves illegal drug use.

·        Health Issues: In the event of physical or mental health events, Vérité Integral Learning Center reserves the right to refer guests to an appropriate health care provider/facility. 

1.6              Identification and Documentation

·        For verification purposes, all guests are required to provide valid identification before and/or upon check-in. This includes, but is not limited to:

1.6.1        Foreign Guests: Passports and visa details.

1.6.2       Indian Guests: Aadhar cards, driving licenses, or other government-issued ID.

·        This information is collected solely for the purpose of verifying identity in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements and ensuring a safe environment.

1.7              Check-in and Check-out

·        Check-in Time: 11:00 AM

·        Check-out Time: 10:00 AM

Early check-in and/or late check-out may be arranged, subject to availability, and may incur additional charges.

1.8              Meals and Dietary Restrictions

·        Ordering Meals: Guests/Group coordinators are responsible for notifying us in advance for meal bookings. Meals will not be available unless pre-ordered.

·        Food Allergens: Guests/Group coordinators are responsible for notifying us in advance about any food allergies or dietary restrictions.

·        We make efforts to accommodate guests with food allergies or dietary restrictions, but cannot guarantee that all foods served at Vérité Integral Learning Center will be free from allergens.

·        Health and Safety: Vérité Integral Learning Center is not liable for any allergic reactions, illness, or health complications during your stay.

1.9              Intellectual Property

·        All content, materials, and intellectual property (including logos, designs, and written materials) associated with Vérité Integral Learning Center are the exclusive property of the Center or its licensors. Guests are prohibited from using, reproducing, or distributing any such content without prior written permission.

·        Guests may not record, photograph, or broadcast any portion of the premises or activities at Vérité Integral Learning Center for commercial purposes without prior consent of the management.

1.10          Privacy Policy

·         Data Collection and Use: We collect personal information such as your name, contact details, and payment information exclusively for processing your reservation and improving your experience. By booking, you consent to the collection and use of this information.

·         Data Protection: Your data is stored securely and is handled in accordance with applicable data protection laws. We will not share your personal information with third parties, except as necessary for payment processing or required by law.

·         Cookies: Our website uses cookies to enhance user experience. By continuing to use our site, you consent to our use of cookies. For further information, refer to our Privacy Policy available on our website.

1.11           Website Security

·         Security Measures: We implement standard security protocols to safeguard your personal and financial information. However, please understand that no online transmission can be entirely secure, and we cannot guarantee the security of any data transmitted through the internet.

·         User Responsibility: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and password, and for all activities conducted under your account. If you suspect unauthorized access, please notify us immediately.

1.12          Eligibility for Services

·         Age Requirements: Our services are available to individuals aged 18 years or older. Persons under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a legal guardian or adult.

·         Legal Capacity: By booking with or using any of the services of Vérité Integral Learning Center, you confirm that you are legally capable of entering into a binding agreement under the laws of your jurisdiction.

1.13          Liability

·         Limitation of Liability: Vérité Integral Learning Center, a unit under Hospitality Trust, Auroville Foundation, shall not be liable for any loss, theft, or damage to personal property during your stay.

·         Health and Safety: We are not responsible for any injury, illness, or accidents that may occur on the property or while using our services.

·         Force Majeure: We are not liable for delays, disruptions, or cancellations due to circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to natural disasters, government actions, pandemics, or other emergencies.

1.14          Dispute Resolution and Legal Waiver

·         Governing Law: These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, and all disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Tamil Nadu, India.

·         No Legal Recourse for Claims: By using our services, you waive any rights to pursue legal claims against Vérité Integral Learning Center under any circumstances unless a valid claim of breach of contract arises. You agree that all disputes will be handled through alternative dispute resolution methods, including mediation, before seeking formal legal proceedings.

1.15          Changes to Terms and Conditions

·         Modification of Terms: Vérité Integral Learning Center reserves the right to modify or update these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice. Any changes will be posted on our website, and the updated version will apply to all bookings made after the date of posting.

2.               Programs

Vérité Integral Learning Center, located in Auroville, Tamil Nadu, India, and registered under the Hospitality Trust, Auroville Foundation. By making a booking, attending classes, workshops, therapies, or using any other services offered at our center or on our website, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms & Conditions. 

2.1     General Terms

·        Vérité Integral Learning Center (hereafter referred to as “the Center”) offers a wide range of wellness-related classes, workshops and therapies.

·        Participation in all activities is voluntary and undertaken at your own risk. By engaging in these activities, you confirm that you are have no physical or mental health conditions that limit your ability to participate. 

2.2  Registration

All participants must register with their signature before attending any class, workshop, or therapy session.

2.2.1  Drop-in Classes

Registration can be done in person before the class begins. We   recommend arriving 15 minutes early to secure your spot.

2.2.2 Workshops

At least 24-hours advance reservation is required for all workshops,. and may be done via email, WhatsApp or in person at the Center.

2.2.3 Therapies

Therapies are available by appointment only. Please book your session in advance via phone, email, WhatsApp, or directly at the Center.

2.3  Payment

• Fees for all classes, workshops, therapies and special events are set and announced monthly.

Full payment for all services, including classes, workshops, and therapies, must be made in advance - We accept payment via QR code, credit/debit card, Aurocard, or bank transfer.-

• Payments made by credit card are securely processed via trusted third-party payment gateways. The Center does not store your credit card details. Payments are subject to the privacy policies of the respective payment processors.

2.4  Cancellation & Refund Policy

          2.4.1 Cancellations

·         Drop-in classes: No cancellation is required.

·         Workshops: Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours before the scheduled session. For cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled session, payment will not be refunded.

·         Therapies: Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours before the scheduled session. For cancellations made within 48 hours of the scheduled session, payment will not be refunded.

            2.4.1 Refunds

o    All service fees are non-refundable, except when the Center cancels or reschedules a session. In rare and exceptional circumstances, such as a medical emergency or unavoidable event, the Center may offer a refund or rescheduling option at the discretion of the management.

2.5             Code of Conduct

• All participants must adhere to the Center’s code of conduct, which emphasizes respect, mindfulness, and peacefulness.

• Disruptive, aggressive, or inappropriate behaviour may result in the termination of services without a refund.

• Smoking, alcohol consumption, and the use of illegal substances are strictly prohibited within the Center.

• Please ensure your devices are switched off or on silent mode during classes, workshops or therapies.

Participants are expected to wear appropriate, culturally-sensitive attire s for the class, workshop, or therapy session. Comfortable, casual, modest clothing is recommended to support ease of movement.

2.6  Health, Safety & Liability

• Participants must inform instructors and therapists of any pre-existing physical or mental health conditions that may affect participation.

• If you have health concerns or are under medical treatment, consult your healthcare provider before participating.

• The Center is not liable for any injuries, accidents, or damages that occur during participation. By participating, you agree to release the Center and its staff from any liability or claims arising from your involvement in any activities.

• The Center is not responsible for any personal belongings that are lost, damaged, or stolen while on the premises.

2.7  Data Collection & Privacy

• In compliance with legal requirements, the Center may collect personal information such as passport details, visa information, Aadhaar number, and driver’s license for registration purposes.

• Payment information is securely processed through third-party payment processors. The Center does not store your payment details.

• Your personal data will be kept confidential and secure. By providing personal data, you consent to its use as described in this policy.

2.8 Intellectual Property

• All content provided by the Center, including but not limited to class materials, photos, videos, and written content, is the intellectual property of Vérité Integral Learning Center and is protected under copyright law.

• Participants may not reproduce, distribute, or use the Center’s content for commercial purposes without prior written consent.

• By participating in our programs, you acknowledge that any content created during your involvement (e.g., photos, videos, testimonials) may be used for marketing and promotional purposes unless otherwise specified in advance, in writing.

2.9 Indemnity·       

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Center, its directors, employees, instructors, therapists, and agents from any loss, liability, claim, damage, or expense (including legal fees) arising from your participation in activities at the Center.

2.10 Governing Lawo  

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Tamil Nadu, India.

2.11 Programs Disclaimer

• Any and all classes, workshops and therapies offered are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition.

• The services are not to be considered as a substitute for physical or mental health treatment. We recommend consulting a healthcare professional for physical or mental health conditions.

• The Center does not guarantee specific results; individual experiences may vary.

• By participating, you acknowledge disclosing relevant health-related information to the therapist or teacher and agree to take full responsibility for your well-being during and after the session.

• The Center is not liable for any adverse reactions during or after any class, workshop or therapy. Any concerns should be immediately communicated to the therapist or teacher.

2.12.       Changes to Terms & Conditions

·        We reserve the right to update or amend these Terms & Conditions at any time without prior notice. Any changes will be posted on our website. We encourage you to review this document periodically for updates. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

3      Taste of Yoga-Vegan Café

Taste of Yoga-Vegan Café is a part of the Vérité Integral Learning Center under Hospitality Trust of the Auroville Foundation. We are committed to providing healthy, wholesome, and conscious food in a peaceful environment. Please take a moment to carefully read and understand our Terms & Conditions, which govern your use of our services. By entering our premises and using our services, you agree to abide by these Terms & Conditions.

3.1 Menu & Ingredients

Our cafe serves vegan food, with a focus on fresh, organic ingredients. We do not use dairy or refined sugars in any of our preparations. Additionally, we offer gluten-free options and prioritize health-conscious, sustainable food choices.

Approximately 90% of the café’s food offerings are raw, naturally processed to preserve nutritional value and flavor.  

3.2 Food Allergies & Health Conditions

If you have any allergies, intolerances, or specific dietary restrictions, please inform our staff before placing your order. While we make an effort to accommodate special dietary needs, we cannot guarantee the complete absence of allergens in our food.

3.3  Placing Orders

Please place your order at the counter, and your food will be prepared with care. Orders typically take between 10 to 15 minutes to prepare. We kindly ask for your patience as we strive to provide the highest quality food. 

3.4 Payment Process

·         All orders must be paid for in advance, before food is served.

·         We accept payments via QR code or debit/credit card. Cash payments are not accepted.

·         Prices are subject to change without prior notice. Please refer to the menu at the time of ordering for accurate pricing. 

3.5 Order Cancellation Policy

Once an order is placed and payment is completed, refunds can not provided. Kindly ensure that you review your selection thoroughly before finalizing your order. 

3.6 Quiet & Peaceful Environment

Our cafe is designed as a quiet, peaceful space for relaxation and mindful eating. We ask that all customers respect this tranquil atmosphere by keeping conversations at a low volume and refraining from disruptive behavior.

3.7             Operating Hours

·         Our cafe operates Monday-Saturday from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM; hours are subject to change. 

3.8 WiFi Usage

We provide free WiFi for customer use. By accessing our WiFi network, you agree to use it for lawful and responsible purposes only. We reserve the right to restrict access to the WiFi service at our discretion, and we are not responsible for any misuse of the network. 

3.9 Intellectual Property

All content within the cafe, including menu items, recipes, logos, branding, and any other creative works, are the intellectual property of the Vérité Integral Learning Center. Unauthorized reproduction or use of any part of this content is strictly prohibited without prior written consent of the management. 

3.10 Privacy & Credit Card Information

·         We respect your privacy and are committed to safeguarding your personal data. Any personal information collected, including credit card details, will be securely processed through a third-party payment processor and handled in compliance with relevant privacy laws.

·         By using our payment services, you consent to the collection and use of your personal information in accordance with our privacy policies. We do not store your credit card information on our servers. 

3.11 Liability Disclaimer

·         General Liability:  Vérité Integral Learning Center is not liable for any accidents, injuries, or health issues that may occur while on our premises. This includes any allergic reactions, foodborne illnesses, or other health-related concerns.

·         Property & Personal Belongings: We are not responsible for any loss, theft, or damage to personal property while you are on our premises, including while using our WiFi network or during interactions with our staff.

·         By entering and using our services, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Vérité Integral Learning Center, the Auroville Foundation, its employees, and affiliates from any claims, damages, or liabilities arising out of your visit to our cafe, including, but not limited to, any health or safety concerns.

We reserve the right to update or amend these Terms & Conditions at any time without prior notice. Any changes will be posted on our website and displayed within the cafe. We encourage you to review this document periodically for updates.
